Time for another #FeatureFriday, where I share some interesting blog posts from my morning reading. This week’s features:
Quilting – Have a virtual look at a quilt show over at Jenny Lyons’ Quilt Skipper blog. So many styles of stitching in that showcase by the River City Guild Quilters.
Gouache – Azorch is experimenting with a limited travel palette in gouache for an upcoming trip. Great choices, my first choice is the first one he shows. What do you think?
Watercolor – Jana Bouc was also experimenting with watercolor triads recently. She stuck it out with a difficult combo for a portrait.
Recipes – I got brave and stepped on the scale today, because I knew I had gained back some weight. Thankfully, only 5 lbs. So any heart healthy ideas that come my way are welcome. I just found this one and will add this blog to my reader.
Well, we made it to the weekend. I hope the hurricane dissipates soon and that people can get their lives back on track down south.
Tomorrow starts #inktober. I have the first prompt done. I don’t know how far into October I will make it though. It does fit with my need to levelup my drawing skills.
Give me a shout in the comments if you are inktobering, and I will add you to my wordpress reader.
I enjoyed your links. With some trepidation, I ordered pens….which terrify me. It is time to face my fears. 😎

Let us be brave about this together…. no shame in skipping days though. Already the voice in my head that says,” ha ha you can’t draw” is quieting down. I was able to sketch out a gouache study much better yesterday. I saw my mistake and fixed it before I picked up my brush. I also have my gargoyle ready to post.
